Aetha analysed the economic value of a use of the 800MHz band (790-862MHz) in Belgium for mobile and broadcasting services for the national regulator BIPT. The study considered the incremental welfare benefits (consumer and producer surplus) which could be realised from an allocation of the band to either service. The study was prepared to aid in discussions between broadcasting and mobile stakeholders around the potential compensation measures to the broadcasting sector for vacating the frequency band.
