Amit Nagpal
Amit specialises in advising on complex wireless transactions and strategy projects, including supporting mobile operators with spectrum valuation and regulators with the development and implementation of spectrum policy.
Amit has over 25 years of experience advising fixed and mobile operators, regulators/government bodies, financial institutions and equipment manufacturers on commercial, technical and regulatory issues. He has supported several multi-billion dollar M&A and debt financing transactions and has led numerous high-profile studies in the area of radio spectrum policy. Amit brings a global perspective to his work, having undertaken projects for clients in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and the Americas.
Amit holds an M.Sc. in Radio Frequency and Communications Engineering from the University of Bradford, UK and an M.B.A. from the University of Warwick, UK.

Advising the Slovenian regulator (AKOS) on the award of spectrum in the 700MHz, 1500MHz, 2100MHz, 2300MHz, 3500MHz and 26GHz bands.
Undertaking commercial and technical due diligence on mobile operators in New Zealand and Bolivia.
Advising the Mexican regulator (IFT) on annual fees for mobile spectrum bands.
Independent valuation of 700MHz, 800MHz and 2600MHz spectrum in four Central African countries in support of potential transactions
Advising Etisalat on its successful application for the Egyptian third mobile licence (USD3 billion).
Economic assessment study for a consortium of European broadcast organisations on the future use of the 470-694MHz band in Europe.
Studies for the European Commission on the use of digital dividend spectrum and the development of a spectrum trading framework.
Undertaking commercial and technical due diligence on a Saudi Arabian mobile operator in support of a USD3 billion Shari’ah compliant debt facility.
